Edinburgh & S.E. Scotland Branch Pub of the Year Awards 2011

Because of the size of the branch area, the branch is divided up into City of Edinburgh, the Lothians and the Borders. There is a winner for each of the three areas, and also an overall winner for Branch Pub of the Year (POTY). This year the overall winner is:

The Bow Bar, Victoria Street, Edinburgh

This year, members could vote for up to three outlets in each of the three areas of the branch by expressing a first, second and third preference. The 'hit list' of pubs to be submitted to CAMRA for the following year's Good Beer Guide (2012) was used, as is the case each year.

This, as always, is a long annual journey that has almost reached its end. The last, and in some ways most pleasurable part of the tasks, is to present the Awards. All Awards have now been made, with branch committee and members in attendance. The Awards were handed over either by CAMRA UK Chairman Colin Valentine or Branch Chairman Roger Preece.
